How to cancel an apple music subscription

Canceling your Apple Music subscription can be done from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or even a Windows PC. Here’s how to cancel your subscription on various devices:

On iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

  1. Open the Settings app: Tap on your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions: If you don’t see “Subscriptions,” tap “iTunes & App Store” instead. Then tap your Apple ID, view Apple ID, sign in, scroll down to Subscriptions, and tap Subscriptions.
  3. Find Apple Music Subscription: Tap on it.
  4. Cancel Subscription: Tap “Cancel Subscription” or “Cancel Free Trial” at the bottom. You might need to scroll down to see it. Then confirm your decision.

On Mac (macOS Mojave or later):

  1. Open the App Store app: Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar or click “Sign In” if you’re not already.
  2. Click “View Information” at the top of the window. You might be asked to sign in.
  3. Scroll to Subscriptions: Click “Manage”.
  4. Find Apple Music Subscription: Click “Edit” next to it.
  5. Cancel Subscription: Click “Cancel Subscription” and confirm.

On Mac or PC (using iTunes):

  1. Open iTunes: Go to “Account” on the menu bar at the top of the iTunes window. If you’re using a PC, this will be at the top of the iTunes window. If you don’t see the menu bar, press the Alt key.
  2. View My Account: Sign in with your Apple ID if not already and click “View My Account”.
  3. Scroll to Settings: Find the “Settings” section on the Account Information page.
  4. Manage Subscriptions: Next to Subscriptions, click “Manage”.
  5. Find Apple Music Subscription: Click “Edit” next to it.
  6. Cancel Subscription: Click “Cancel Subscription” and confirm your decision.

On Android Device:

  1. Open Apple Music app: Tap the menu icon (three horizontal dots) in the top right corner, then tap “Account” or your profile picture.
  2. Tap “Manage Subscription”: You’ll then be directed to a page with your subscription details.
  3. Cancel Subscription: Tap “Cancel Subscription” or “Cancel Trial”, and confirm your choice.

After Cancelling:

  • You’ll still have access to Apple Music until the end of your current billing cycle.
  • If you cancel a trial period, you might lose access to the subscription immediately.
  • If you can’t find the subscription on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, it might be billed through a third party and not Apple. Check with the third party to cancel the subscription.
